4-H Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM)


4-H science programs provide 4-H youth the opportunity to learn about Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) through fun, hands-on activities and projects.  4-H science programs are available through local clubs, schools and grant-funded programs.  Focus areas for 4-H science programs inlcude:

4-H National Youth Science Day is the nation's largest youth-led science experiment, celebrating 4-H's commitment to science and offering thousands of youth the chance to flex their science muscles in a fun-filled day-long event.




CT 4-H Adventures in STEM is a one-day conference held at the UConn Storrs campus in November that provides an opportunity for youth ages 12-18 years to experience exciting hands-on workshops in science, engineering, technology and math at the UConn Storrs campus.


Saturday Science - There are several 4-H Saturday Science programs held around the state in Connecticut offering youth the chance to explore a variety of STEM topics and have fun.
